The size is good and of course you have to love the sparkle. Due to its look you’d think it was a cosmetic case or travel jewelry case. It has 6 small compartments and two large. It comes with a thin metal ‘key’ (size and shape of a guitar pick) to make opening the doors easier and there are little slots in the compartment doors to stick the key in, making them very easy to open. Although the individual doors themselves are a bit stiff to hold open, may loosen with more use. The doors click securely shut. The compartment doors can come out as one piece, on each side, to make filling the compartments easy and they’re easy to slide back into place. The small compartments hold a lot of pills, depending on their size. I have all vitamins, vitamin D, biotin, hyaluronic acid capsules and even big fish oil capsules in mine and they still have room for more. It comes with small stickers so you can label them if needed. It’s possible to open the compartment doors without the key if you have strong nails or use the tip of a knife. The outside clasp is thick plastic and is a bit hard to open with your fingers but possible. But the ‘key’ it comes with works perfectly to open it easily. I just know I’d probably loose it so I plan to store it inside on top of the bottom compartment. While yes, there are many cheaper, easier to use pillboxes out there you’re probably checking this one out for the same reason I did, they look and to give a pillbox a more discreet look. I love it and highly recommended, as it’s easier to fill this weekly and not have to open all the different vitamin bottles daily. Only exception for recommending would be if you have significant arthritis in your fingers.
